Thank you to all of the participants who have submitted images to our free online photo critiques!!
This week we are featuring critiques from our BPSOP instructors, Robin Nichols & George Crudo. Let’s take a look at what they have to say. (And listen closely to see the possible differences of opinion!)
We offer a great two-week course that consists of 50 video tips, 25 each week, designed to improve your photos with just a few clicks of the mouse! Check out these free tips from our BPSOP instructor Roger Morin.
Each tip goes through a step-by-step process of editing your photos where you’ll learn how to perform numerous editing tasks, including, cropping and straightening, color and tonal adjustments, noise reduction, shadow and highlight detail recovery, sharpening, lens correction and retouching.

Like all good tour guides I try and remind everyone to make sure they have their passports, money, electrical plugs, and stuff when we move hotels. It just so happened that one day everyone did remember their gear, apart from me. Luckily we were just 30 mins away from the hotel at the time I discovered the missing documents so I got away with only a thin film of egg on my face. The result was that I made a joke political poster, entitled “Always remember to bring your passport with you…” for our photo critique night a couple of days later using an old head shot of yours truly and a political poster of Fidel Castro.
Watch the video for a quick overview on how this was done…

I have nothing but praise for both Joe Baraban's courses, Stretching Your Frame of Mind I & II. His examples and critiques really do stretch your mind, with new approaches, techniques, and an artistic mindset. It is obvious that Joe is dedicated to sharing his talent and experience with aspiring photographers. If you're looking for nothing more than “good job, how pretty,” show your photos to your mother. On the other hand, if you want honest, detailed, and constructive critiques and advice, Joe's courses are for you. Read More
